Longing for spring flowers!

I wanna get my hands in the dirt and plant some beautiful flowers! The outside is calling me but I know it is too early to plant anything because of the frost.

I am trying to get the boys we care for pumped up about planting flowers, and so they can take part in the planting and caring for the flowers all summer and fall. Since my job last year, I miss the caring for flowers part of it. The lawn here in Portland sucks and is full of moss. I have no idea of how to get rid of that. Oh well.

I also can't wait for next spring because I will be back at our appartment in Woodstock and I have big dreams of flowers and a garden. I am just having a hard time waiting for the frost to leave town until next year.

Great News about the Wii !

Get last week Matt and I bought his parents Dance Dance Revolution Game for the Xbox, for their birthdays. They love it.

I like it too. So this morning I was looking the Game up on the Web and I Googled "Dance Dance Revolution for Wii" and I found out that Wii is making it and not only will people play with there feet but there HANDS too!! Cool! eh? They do not have a release date but it is coming out this year. I can not wait!

We are going to see the SUPERCHICK Concert on May 26, 2007, In Lewiston, Maine. I ordered online so it better get here ok. Four other bands are coming that night too.

Oh Man!

You know how I have been tried to lose weight... well it has not been working to well. I gained two pounds. Frustrating. I have been eating healthy.
I don't want to go for a walk because the sidewalks are wet and my legs are short. You do the math. I would like longer legs. I would not look as fat!! :) I wish this was easier or it would be cool if we had a bellybutton over flow drain, so if you eat too much your bellybutton would leak. I think it is a great idea. What do you think?

Weekend Off

Today I am very happy to say that, tomorrow is the beginning of my first day off in 12 days! It is a long needed rest weekend. I hope to do nothing! Sleep-in & play! Praise God for rest periods!

WHY...

... is it that we have been chosen to care for such an oppositional & M.R. kid? It has been so hard lately. I have been having thoughts of quiting and dreaming that my vacation was now! I really can't wait until July 6th.

oohhhh ... I sometimes want to scream at this boy. I know that I have to reevaluate my attitude but there are times that I just don't want too. I have been praying for strength but sometimes I don't want because I just don't want to care. Oh, so hard!

I am at a huge head battle with myself and I am struggling to chose the right answer because of the wanting to get even and selfishness of sin.

HELP ME

My Challenge

I have been challenged to write some lyrics for a song that Matt would make the music to. I have been reading my Bible in search of a good praise song but all I am running into is, other peoples work. If you have ready through Psalms, you will find out how many people have already done this. I find out that other people have use different lines of the Bible and I end up singing the songs I know. ha ha. Someday ... Just someday I will find worded of my own and then, I will have a praise song. Well if you have any input on this subject, you know what to do!

My Personal Update

Well, Since being in Maine I have been taught so much by God and by messed up kids. I have never been so stressed and at the same time Praise God for it because I know this is where I am meant-to-be at this time in my life. At times I cry because I don't want to do this anymore and I can't do it and I know that in myself that I CAN'T. But I have learned that GOD CAN. I think I had to be here to really realize that God is big enough and I can surrender to that.

You see, I was taught that if I did not do "it", "it" would not get done or not get done right. Guess what! That is not true! I have more than ever learned to give it to God. It think that sometimes it felt that God pushed me to do it, just to show me that it doesn't hurt. I can be so babyish, at times. And after the fact, I feel stupid because it was fine.

I love God. People may say that a lot but I don't just love the stuff he does for me. I love the stuff he does not do for me ( because I have learned that sometimes I have wrong motives and I don't need "it" ) Whatever "it" may be.

I find myself completely marveled at how Wonderful God is. Matt has been longing to get back into a Church and I really, really want to do that too. God should not be kept for yourself in a box; but shared with anyone and everyone. I love our Christan radio station ( positive.fm ) It is so good for me and the kids we take care of. It sometimes helps starts the "God questions". With the job we have we can not start the conversation about God but they can! And then we can talk to them about God. I love loop wholes! Praise God.

I am looking forward to what God has planned for us next year. One thing I know is that we have to leave the States because of our J1 Visa requires us to leave from working here.

Well I have ran out of words and must stop before I ramble on.

I have never really liked Toby Mac until he made this new CD. I love the hit song "Made to Love". It is awesome! Matt loves it too!
